Mr. B came home from his daycare with a simple and cute Countdown to Christmas Tree. I thought I would share this idea with all of you since it is so easy to make. We made Capt. M one too. The boys are so excited to eat their first Hershey’s Kiss today and “mark” one day off towards Christmas.
What you need:
Cardboard (Recycle cardboard boxes that are arriving from online shopping!)
Paint
Glitter
Hershey’s Kisses
Glue Gun
Scissors
Ribbon
Cut a tree shape out of cardboard. Have your child paint the tree and decorate with glitter. Let the paint dry.
Use the glue gun to glue the candy onto the tree. The amount of candy depends on how many days until Christmas- so if you make it today glue on 24. Make a small hole in the top of the tree and attach the ribbon.
Allow your child to eat one candy a day until Christmas Eve! Have the kids count the candies each day as a way to practice counting too!
Do you have a count down to Christmas idea?
