It’s week 2 of the 30 Day Giving Challenge! It is not too late to join us! Just start giving in some capacity for the month of November. It can be something small or something big. The goal is to be thankful and celebrate the things that we can give to one another.
Here are some ideas to give this week:
- Last week reader Ernestine shared with us her volunteer work with Angels of Love. She volunteers to make beautiful guardian angels for children with cancer, families of fallen military personnel who have died in the line duty or to families of policeman or firefighters who died in the line of duty. Angels of Love has a limited budget and unfortunately has had to make cutbacks on who they make these beautiful angels for. If you are looking for a place to make monetary donations, consider Angels of Love.
- Clean out your children’s toys and donate unwanted toys to children in need. We have a ton of toys and I plan on cleaning out this week.
- Donate old books to the library.
- Make cookies for the neighbor.
- Capt. M, Mr. B and I will all be home on Friday due to Veteran’s Day. I usually would spend the day cleaning and working on the blog. Instead I plan to give the boys my time! My full. undivided. attention.
- Clean out the pantry and donate shelf stable items to Capt. M’s school food drive.
- Think of something that I am thankful for everyday.
What are your ideas for giving this week? I would love to hear what you are doing to celebrate the month of giving!

I love your ideas! Especially the ones about donating old toys. We certainly have an over-abundance (even the girls are beginning to notice it!). Thanks for linking up!
