If you are a couponer, most likely you have a large stockpile. I know my health and beauty items are over flowing even without seriously working the drug store deals for the last few months. Many health and beauty items make great gifts- especially to non-couponers.
The ladies I work with do not stockpile or deal shop like I do. They LOVE getting free products from me! For our Christmas gift exchange, I simply shop my closet. I easily pulled out 5 sets of lotion, body wash, lip balm and nail polish and still had product left on my shelf! I know these items are useful- plus the ladies have fun trading items since i don’t always have the same brand to give out.
Another idea is to do a gift basket based on the few gifts you have on hand. For my hubby’s boss and his family I used the popcorn theme. I already had a huge popcorn bowl, a movie, pens, stickers, activity books, popcorn and hot chocolate. When I was out shopping Saturday I found a popcorn cookbook that fit the theme. The three young girls in the family will love this!
I collect items throughout the year at a discounted price. I don’t always know exactly what I am going to do with the items, but it all seems to come together in the end!
What are your ideas for last minute gifts? Do you make gift baskets from your stockpiled items?
